About Us

We are known for our bright yellow t-shirts, crazy runners dressed in Banana suits – and for making you guys feel part of a great team. Our Banana Army team's enthusiasm and utter determination to beat blood cancer by taking on a sporting challenge however big, small or ridiculous is inspirational. Some of our key events include the London Marathon, Great North Run and Run to the Beat but there are many more that you can get involved in.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for all blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. We invest in only the best research that brings the most benefit to patients. With 50 years of experience investing in quality research, we have built unparalleled expertise in the field of blood cancers here in Britain. For our life-saving work to continue we need to raise over £20 million every year.

So whether you've never taken part in a sporting event or you're out running every weekend why not sign up for our Banana Army! To register contact us via email: running@beatbloodcancers.org or call us on: 0207 269 9001

Below are our top five reasons why you should be part of the Banana Army:

We want you to have as much fun as possible taking part at Banana Army events, but just as important is helping you to raise vital funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

We receive no government funding as a charity and are completely reliant on money raised through our events. That is why we ask everyone to raise as much money as they can for us.
